Houndrace Racing Format Explained

Let’s see this time the Racing format of Houndrace!
Racing and Transparency
First of all it’s part of our mission and design philosophy to build fairness into the Houndrace ecosystem. Our belief and motivations for fair racing outcomes is to be as equitable and dynamic as possible, ultimately to build trust with the Houndrace users.
We are working on a fair and balanced hound racing ecosystem which initially poses more questions than answers. One such question is “what factors should affect the outcome of a particular race?”
Good to know that at Houndrace, the race outcome will be determined by our custom algorithm which will take into consideration multiple gameplay factors like surface, weather and distance for a fair and always fun experience.
How to earn by racing your hound in the Houndverse?
As the name Houndrace dictates, the main assets of our game will be the hound NFTs which ones you can own, breed, and race. Let’s see how you can race your doggies what kind of benefits you will enjoy in the future as a racer!
There will several types of races, next to the normal races you can join tournaments, private races and interactive races.
During the race you will have the option to view your hounds compete in 2D and 3D visual formats that will offer maximum fun and excitement. Currently you can test the 2D simulation in our Alpha Testnet on Rinkeby!

Gameplay Types
Houndrace will have four types of gameplays.
At a Normal Race you can choose from a multitude of arenas, distances, weather types, surfaces to find the best race for your hound. The normal races will have 12 hounds as participants.
Let’s have a look at the prize distribution below!

đź’Ž2nd place: 25%
đź’Ž3rd place: 10%
đź’Ž5% will be split between the arena owner and the platform on a 80/20 proportion.
Tournaments
When you enter Tournaments our game engine allows a high degree of customization of the main race parameters. You will be able to
Private Races
You, as a Houndrace user can create a new Private Race any time, just for you and your friends. All you have to do is, select the core parameters and start competing for the big prize with your friends.
Interactive Races
During Interactive Races your skills are your most valuable assets to win points, and rise on top of the global leaderboard. During these races you will have the option to catch elements by clicking on them to earn extra HRP.
What is Stamina, and why is it important?
With each race, your hound stamina decreases and reduces the competitive performance of your winner. It means this one is kind of the power level of your doggo which will decrease after races but also can be charged after. When it is 0 you will be not able to race your hound.
There are a limited number of races that can be made on a daily basis with full stamina and after the threshold is passed, the stamina level will linearly decrease with each race.
You can refill stamina by waiting for the cooldown timer to pass or by spending Houndrace Potions.
Are looking for Custom Races?
Well then look no further!
There will be the possibility for creating custom races with custom themes for partnerships, custom arenas, rewards and new unique skin sets that can be applied to the current hounds. The game engine already has a high degree of customisation that will create a diverse and always fun experience for our users.
The Custom Race will always be held in a custom made Arena with a fully custom-made environment, with unique design elements according to the partnership theme.
