How to use your test NFT hounds on our testnet?

Let’s see everything step-by-step!

Welcome!

In this testnet you can test the basic aspects of the game: join race, breed, marketplace breed.

Houndrace is currently deployed on the Rinkeby Test Network.

Rinkeby is an Ethereum test network that allows for blockchain development testing before deployment on Mainnet, the main Ethereum network.

This is the first section you’ll see when you land on our app!

We will give you a quick rundown of steps to use your hound in different ways:

1. Choose the Rinkeby Test Network from your Metamask
2. Explore the 3 section of the app
3. Apply for founds (test ETH) if you haven’t got any
4. Join a Race
5. Breed your hounds

First of all you have to check in your Metamask if you are on the correct network. This Testnet is deployed on Rinkeby Test Network so you have to select in from the test networks.

1. Metamask Connect

2. Hounds page

At the Hounds page you should be able to see your own hounds.

This is where your own hounds are located.

When you click on it, you will be able to see it full page.

3. Apply for founds

Don’t forget to connect your Metamask!

You can request it here: https://faucets.chain.link/rinkeby

You just need to connect your metamask on that page, verify you’re a human and just request the 0.1 test eth.

4. Join a Race

If you want to join a race you can click on the arrow on the left side. You will be able to see if other participants have registered already on the right side at the “Registered” section.

In this example 1 hound is already registered to the race I have chosen.

The race will only start when it is filled.

New races are added automatically by the system in every category in order to ensure a diversified pipeline of available races.

See your races at the “My races” section!

5. Breed your hound

If you own a Male and Female NFT hound, you can breed your own new hound by choosing the Internal Breeding option.

Choose internal breeding.

Select one of your female hound

Each time you breed a new hound, some test ETH will be deducted as breeding fee from your wallet. In this case not only your own hound family will grow, but you will create new value in the Houndrace economy.

List your hound on the Marketplace

In case you don’t want to breed your own hound internally, or you own only one hound NFT, you can choose one of the available hounds for breeding from other users, or list your hound on the Marketplace for a custom amount of ETH.

By clicking on ‘Mount’ you will be able to breed a new hound NFT with the chosen male and female hound.

After breeding the hounds have a couple of hours long “cooling down” so you’ll need to wait before you race or breed them again.
